The Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department, Prime Minister's Office, held a Kesyukuran Ceremony and Doa Selamat in Conjunction with Syariah Courts' 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration. The ceremony was held at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Awang Haji Besar, Chief Syar'ie Judge. Throughout its establishment, the Syariah Courts have played an important role in strengthening the Syariah judicial system in Brunei Darussalam.
